Simple question.
Why hasn’t Tony Romo been putting in “Peyton-Type” work from the beginning? That should be disturbing to Cowboys fans. Here is what Jerry Jones had to say.
Quarterback Tony Romo will have much more input on which plays are in the game plan.
Owner/general manager Jerry Jones said part of his agreement with Romo, who signed a seven-year, $119.5 million contract extension this offseason, was the quarterback would spend “Peyton Manning-type time” at the facility.
Jerry Jones makes a point of saying, this has nothing to do with taking power away from head coach Jason Garrett and offensive coordinator Bill Callahan, but the reality is Jerry Jones is the coach. Until Jerry Jones allows his football people to do their jobs, it will hold back the Cowboys.
