Anthony Davis, who had a contract signed through the end of 2014, has agreed on the term to a new deal that would keep him with the San Francisco 49ers for the next five years, according to USAToday.
It’s expected the contract is worth five years at $37.3 million with approximately $17 million in guaranteed money, which is a nice deal for a right tackle.
This was a big move to maintain the same or similar hard pounding offensive line that helped propel to 49ers last season. Now with Davis under contract until 2019 and the helps of Jonathan Goodwin, Colin Kaepernick can breathe a sigh of relief now the he knows his protectors are secured for the season.
