You must really be a team player when your team goes out and upgrades its receiving corps, dropping you from the #1 all the way down to a possible #3 option.
That is exactly what Dolphins wide receiver Brian Hartline is facing with the teams acquisition of Mike Wallace and Brandon Gibson.
They also added former Jets tight end Dustin Keller to compliment the outside burners. Hartline whether he’s a starter or not, thinks the Dolphins have the best receiving corps in the AFC East, and that includes the Patriots according to Pro Football Talk.
“Absolutely, I think we are,” Hartline said. “Add Dustin Keller in there, Lamar Miller’s a great back and Daniel Thomas is a great back out of the backfield. The whole passing game is an advantage of ours.”
It’s not a crazy statement considering the Dolphins competition is the Patriots, Jets, and Bills receiving corps. I think if you polled a bunch of people. they’d have varying degrees of opinions.
I that really won’t matter if Tannehill doesn’t get the time to make throws, or if he simply fails to improve. Kudos to Hartline for being so confident in the midst of a possible demotion.
