Mayweather already holds the record for purse guarantee at $32 million (he got that twice), but he is going to shatter his own record with his fight against Canelo Alvarez.
A source close to Fighthype.com and confirmed by BSO says that Mayweather will get over $40 million guaranteed for his showdown with Canelo Alvarez.
That’s just the guarantee, it doesn’t count additional revenue from PPV sales, live gate, sponsors and merchandise sells. Considering this is the biggest fight that has been made in a while, don’t be shocked when it is all said and done Mayweather pulls in over $60 million.
That’s why they call him Money Mayweather.
