Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes is slowly making his way back from injury, but regardless of his health, Holmes is going to back his quarterback.
While talking to NBC Sports Network, Holmes said that Sanchez is the Jets starting quarterback and team leader according to the New York Daily News.
“Right now, Sanchez. That’s what we’re going with,” Holmes on NBC Sports Network on Wednesday.
Holmes said he spoke to Sanchez on Tuesday and Wednesday and that the quarterback is focused.
“Right now he’s going to continue being Mark Sanchez, the team leader. (He’s) just focused on helping the team.”
Sanchez is in a five man competition for the Jets quarterback job. What was a mess could become even more of a mess if Sanchez, with the release of Tim Tebow, gets back to his winning ways and can have a career rebirth.
What do the Jets do about Sanchez then?
