According to a report courtesy Matt Moore of CBS Sports via Fox Ohio Sports, the Cleveland Cavaliers have targeted Indiana Pacers small forward Danny Granger, as a possible trade candidate to fill their gaping hole at that position. Granger has one year left on his contract at $14 million, and is coming off a season where he hardly saw the court due to a knee injury.
Multiple sources believe the Pacers are looking for a taker for veteran small forward Danny Granger. The Cavs are interested, sources said, but have reservations about the knee injury that forced him to miss much of the season. If the injury robbed Granger of his explosiveness, such a move would hardly be worth the gamble.
I actually love this move for Cleveland if Granger is able to recover from his knee injury; he’s a former All-Star and will add some much needed firepower to a lineup that showed glimpses of dynamism last season.
