New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes will probably miss all of training camp with a Lisfranc injury that kept him out nearly all of last season.
Holmes revealed to ESPN New York that his Lisfranc fracture was diagnosed as a Grade 4 injury, which is the most serious kind.
He had a joint separation and a muscle tear in the middle of his foot. A plate was removed in a March follow-up surgery, but two screws will remain in his foot permanently.
He said his “target date” is the first day of training camp.
If the Jets have any hopes of passing success, Santonio Holmes must be available and healthy.
