Oregon State Suspends Forwards Eric Moreland and Devon Collier

Oregon State basketball has indefinitely suspended forwards Devon Collier and Eric Moreland. This is a major blow to the team, since both players combined to average 23 points per game. There is no word on the exact reason why, only that they both violated team rules.

As far as the stipulations of the punishment, CBS Sports reports that Coach Craig Robinson said:

“They will be allowed to participate with the team in summer workouts and strength/conditioning activities while attending summer school classes. Oregon State officials will have no further comment at this time.”

Moreland and Collier were both major contributors to the team. Moreland was noted at the team’s best rebounder, averaging 10 per game. Collier contributed major offense and played substantial minutes per game. After losing their big man, Angus Brandt, last year, Oregon State didn’t fare too well. Hopefully, Collier and Moreland can get it together to be reinstated to the team before the season begins.
