Things are heating up in Columbus, Ohio this morning, and sources say the news is not good for Ohio State or my wonderful boss here at BSO.
Men Of The Scarlet And Gray is reporting that Ohio State stud running back Carlos Hyde is being accused of punching the daughter of a cop in the face this weekend just before 2 a.m. Saturday morning at Sugar Bar 2 on Front Street in Columbus’ Arena District.

Reports say Hyde allegedly got upset with the young woman because Hyde insisted she dance with him, and she refused. At that point, Hyde allegedly punched her in the face and ran off.
Again this is all speculation and reports at this point, but several reports indicate that Hyde is to be suspended, and wasn’t at a team meeting on Monday morning.
I am hearing from my sources that Carlos Hyde has been suspended indefinitely and that is why he was not at the meeting this AM.

As of right now, Hyde is simply a person of interest in the case, but things are quickly unfolding.
We will have more for you as this story unfolds.
*UPDATE*
It appears Hyde has been dismissed from the team even though no charges have been filed.
Sources told The Dispatch this morning that Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer has dismissed No.1 running back Carlos Hyde, who was named as a person of interest in a weekend assault against a female in a Downtown bar.
