The Kansas City Chiefs are loving life right now, and why shouldn’t they.
They have a new head coach who has been successful in the NFL. They have one of the best running backs in the NFL, and now according to their new offensive coordinator, they have the best quarterback in the league.
Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson told the Kansas City Star that “the franchise went from worst-to-first at the position with the addition of Alex Smith.”
“Ultimately, every team has to have a quarterback,” Pederson said Wednesday, per the Kansas City Star. “I think we have the best in the league.”
“There are a lot of great ones,” Pederson said. “But over time, Alex has proven he can get it done. He’s a sharp guy, he brings a wealth of knowledge, he’s experienced, he’s a proven winner the last couple of years, and he needs a team to embrace him.”
Life is good in Kansas City.
