The battle for QB at Florida State has finally come to an end. Yahoo Sports is reporting that Jimbo Fisher has taken the leap to name Jameis Winston starter at the QB position. This is what everyone originally assumed would happen after Winston impressed in the spring game by throwing for 205 yards and 2 TDs. However, things became interesting for the Seminoles when Jacob Coker started to give Winston some competition for the job.
Florida State has seemingly been on the cusp of a championship in recent years, but hasn’t quite gotten there. Winston, who is a former five-star recruit, might just be the piece of the puzzle that’s been missing.
