With Santonio Holmes out with a foot injury, Jets WR Braylon Edwards knows he needs to step up if he even wants to make the team and show what he still has.  Edwards said to ESPN New York:

“I’m starting to get into camp shape, that groove, that vibe,” Edwards said. “Now is the chance to really go after it and really show these guys I still have it and that I can play at an elite level to help this team win games.”

Edwards’ best season was back in 2007 with the Cleveland Browns when he caught 80 passes for 1,289 yards and 16 TDs.  Since 2010, he’s only had 33 catches and has been battling injuries.

He may also be battling for a roster spot, even with the injury to Holmes.
