LB Aaron Maybin’s Art Sales Booming Since ‘Hard Knocks’ Rejection

Viewers tuned into the HBO’s Hard Knocks last night and watched as long time struggling DE, now turned LB, Aaron Maybin, was released from the Bengals squad. This may not be such a bad thing for Maybin however. One of the focuses of the Hard Knocks episode was Maybin’s passion for art and some of the work he’s done.

TMZ is now reporting that the Hard Knocks episode may have actually boosted Maybin’s career, in art that is. Maybin told TMZ that he received several messages from interested fans of his art pieces and that his online gallery had “one of, if not the biggest nights” of success since he started.

Even though Maybin must have been legitimately bummed about being released from the Bengals, he responded by saying:

“Regardless of whatever happens football-wise, I’m probably gonna make more money in my art career.”

Sometimes football just isn’t for everyone, and at least Maybin has found an avenue he can definitely fall back on. It has been reported that Maybin has sold some of his art for as much as $20,000.
