Darius Slay is a rookie cornerback for the Detroit Lions, and even though he’s young enough to not know the full history of the NFL, he has some football knowledge.
Robert Klemko of TheMMQB has a hilarious story about Slay’s youth giving everyone in a Lions film session a laugh for the ages.
Packers offensive game film was being watch by Lions defensive backs, when the veterans started talking about Lambeau Field, and what it’s like to play at Lambeau and other things like that.
Slay, being the young hot-shot rookie he is with money now, thought he veteran teammates were talking about a car, a Lamborghini, or Lambo.
“Lambo? Like the car?”
The second round pick out of Mississippi State couldn’t understand why all his teammates were on the ground laughing.
“I knew what a Lambo was, but I didn’t know it was Green Bay’s stadium. They said, ‘Man, that’s the stadium!’ I said, ‘Oh man . . .’ ”
