Victor Conte likes to stay relevant, so who knows how true this is. Also I find it interesting that he implies A-Rod wanted the illegal stuff, but he would only talk about legal supplements.
I find that a little bit hard to believe.
According to the Daily News, Rodriguez tried to get ex-NFL player Bill Romanowski — who admitted in 2003 to using steroids he received from Conte — to arrange a meeting with Conte in New York or Los Angeles. Conte declined, but in May 2012, Rodriguez and Romanowski showed up at Conte’s office.
“I flushed it out with Romo before they ever showed up at the office,” the Daily News quotes Conte as saying. “I clearly told Romo it (anything he could do for Rodriguez) was about legal performance enhancement.”
