Vince Young had a solid third preseason game against Seattle, in which he ran for 39 yards and put up a touchdown and 130.7 passer rating. Vince is still getting to know the offense having got into camp late but Head Coach Mike McCarthy likes what he brings to the table:
“The dimension of running, that’s something we really wanted to see (from Young),” said the Packers’ coach. “I think you’re just seeing Vince getting more and more comfortable … I think Vince is one of the players that definitely took advantage of his opportunities tonight.”
It’s pretty clear that Vince can at least provide a threat should he have to come in for Aaron Rodgers. It sounds like Vince is making the most of his opportunity in Green Bay.
