Better late than never…
The 1972 Miami Dolphins have been popping bottles of champagne for decades as the first and only team to go undefeated for the entire season.
In 1973 President Richard Nixon was going through a little thing called Watergate, that would eventually lead to his resignation, so recognizing the Super Bowl Champs wasn’t quite a priority for him.
Now, 40 years after their 14-7 Super Bowl victory over the Washington Redskins, the 72 team was finally honored by the White House and President Obama.
Great to see this legendary team get their White House visit.
