Cleveland shocked the world when they selected Anthony Bennett with the number one overall pick. Bennett was not only coming off of surgery but most felt there were better options.
Since Cleveland has so much invested in Bennett, expect them to ease him in. Bennett had surgery to repair the torn rotator cuff in his left shoulder. He got the surgery done back in May to ensure himself he’ll be ready for training camp.
According to Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports, the UNLV product has been participating in 5-on-5 action this week without any restrictions for the first time since the surgery.
Bennett, however, began playing five-on-five without any restrictions this week for the first time since the surgery. He has played well, but needs to get in much better shape as the start of training camp nears.
