Saturday’s matchup between Washington State and Idaho seemed to be uneventful and went largely unrecognized. An overmatched Idaho was routed 42-0 by Washington State. However, immediately after the game, the head coaches of each team, Paul Petrino and Mike Leach showed everyone there was no love lost between the two. CBS Sports has video of Petrino and Leach having a Harbaugh/Schwartz moment on field.

Apparently Petrino didn’t take too kindly to the fact that Leach reinserted his defensive starters at the end of the game to preserve the Cougars first shutout since 2003. These two schools are less than eight miles apart from each other so you can imagine there has to be a rivalry based on geography alone. In case you’re wondering, Petrino is the brother of the infamous Bobby Petrino so we wouldn’t expect anything less from him.
