Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Don’t believe, ask the St. Louis Rams. While experts and pundits are bashing and criticizing Sam Bradford on a daily basis, NFL Network’s Mike Silver and Ian Rapoport are reporting that the Rams think Bradford is a franchise quarterback, and would love to get an extension done.
So it sounds like Bradford, for as bad as he’s been, holds some cards. I’m not sure Bradford is smart about waiting for a new deal.
Bradford is trying to pull a Joe Flacco and bet on himself. The question now becomes, is Bradford good enough to make a bet like that?
Bradford is 16-28-1 as a starter, but the Rams love him.
“We have decided that Sam Bradford is our guy. If they came to us and wanted to do a contract extension right now, we’d do it in a minute,” Demoff told Silver.
Bradford’s deal doesn’t run out until 2015. He’s due $27 million over the next two seasons, which is a lot of money for a mid-level starter.-NFL.com
