The Brooklyn Nets think they can win a championship this year. They are probably going to spend $189 million this year in salary plus luxury tax so they need to get their moneys worth. With great expectations comes fights? Andray Blatche reportedly got in a fight with teammate Mirza Teletovic in practice:
Andray Blatche and Mirza Teletovic got into a scuffle during Sunday’s practice and had to be separated.
No punches were thrown, and the team quickly resumed drills.
“It’s great. That’s competition. That’s what it’s all about,” Nets coach Jason Kidd said. “This team is put together to compete at a high level, and you saw that. There’s nothing wrong with competition. Tempers might flare, but it’s all out of respect, because we’re all working hard, and as a coaching staff and as players, that’s what you need.”
First year coach Jason Kidd is old school so he probably doesn’t mind this. Even if it was a big deal, the Nets wouldn’t say so. Let just hope that Blatche takes some of this new aggression to the court. It might help his game.
