It appeared that the Browns had given up on the 2013 season after an 0-2 start and trading RB Trent Richardson to the Colts. Then Brian Hoyer came along and led the Browns to consecutive wins before he was injured in a Thursday night game vs. the Bills. Brandon Weeden, who was the starter, came in the game and led the Browns to victory and first place in the AFC North.
Despite his poor performance vs. Detroit, which included an underhanded INT, Browns LT, Joe Thomas, stood by his quarterback and assured everyone that the team was behind Weeden.
#Browns LT Joe Thomas on QB Brandon Weeden: "We definitely think he's the guy that can lead us this year to the playoffs."
