Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said on Friday that the groin strain that has only allowed Joakim Noah to play in one game this preseason was once again a problem. Now the center is shut down again for at least a week.
“He’s got a little soreness so we want to make sure we get that taken care of, so probably another week or so,” Thibodeau said. “We just want to make sure he’s completely healthy before we move forward.
“It’s better, but it’s not where we would like it to be. Like we want it completely healthy where he doesn’t feel it, and right now he’s feeling it, so we have to take care of that.’’
Sadly this has become a yearly thing of when not if Noah will miss time with injury. It’d be nice to see the Bulls stay healthy for a full season to see if they can challenge the Heat. We have a long way to go and having these nagging injuries already doesn’t bode well for the season.
