Alabama head coach Nick Saban has suspended starting safety Haha Clinton-Dix for violating team rules. Saban did not say what led to the suspension nor how long it will last.

“I want to be consistent,” he said. “When guys get suspended, I never, ever say what it’s for. So I’m not going there. So don’t ask me. It’s the way it always happens. Every guy. If they do right, they wouldn’t be getting suspended. I don’t know for how long this will be, so don’t ask me that either. “
Clinton-Dix is ranked second on the team in tackles and has been projected as a 1st round draft pick.
This is a blow at an already banged up position. Sophomores Geno Smith and Landon Collins are working to fill the void.
Alabama plays Georgia State this weekend, which should easily be a rout. I expect Clinton-Dix will have his suspension lifted just in time for Bama’s tougher SEC opponents.
