Yesterday, the Raiders took a bad loss to the Chiefs 24-7 and Kansas city sacked Terrelle Pryor 10 times in the win. The game was actually closer than the score indicates but the Raiders were clearly bothered by the crowd noise at Arrowhead stadium. After the game, Pryor was still feeling confident about the team’s outlook for the season:
“We have to come together and start creating,” Pryor said, per Comcast SportsNet Bay Area. “We’ll be back; 2-4; we’ll get to the playoffs.”
Playoffs?! He might be reaching here considering Denver and KC look like locks for the playoffs. The second part of his quote is what I like though:
“This loss is on me. I’ll take it,” he said. “I’ll make sure we get better. As the leader of the offense, I have to make sure it happens. It will.”
Pryor has done and said everything you would want you QB and leader to say. It’s good for him that he is taking ownership over the team and wanting to be the leader. However, that is all well and good when the team is winning. If he has to keep taking ownership over losses, they will find a way to ship him out of town.
