UCLA senior forward Travis Wear has been diagnosed with appendicitis. CBS Sports is reporting that Wear was treated at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and the timetable for his return to the court has yet to be determined.
Last season the 6-foot-10 senior proved to be a strong asset for the Bruins averaging 10.9 points and 5.2 rebounds a game. With Wear out, Bruins’ head coach Steve Alford will be looking for twin brother David Wear and sophomore Tony Parker to step up to the plate and protect establish themselves in the frontcourt.
