According to a story via ESPN, the New York Yankees have decided to bring back manager Joe Girardi, even though the team missed the playoffs this season.
Joe Girardi has signed a four-year contract to return as the New York Yankees‘ manager, the team announced Wednesday.
Girardi, who turns 49 later this month, managed the Yankees to an 85-77 record this past season, his sixth with the team.
There were rumors that a few teams were interested in securing the services of Girardi, so the Yankees did well to put that speculation to rest early.
