The Cardinals are set to play in a key divisional matchup this week against the Seattle Seahawks this week, but questions surrounding whether star WR Larry Fitzgerald would be able to play was a major concern. Fitzgerald suffered a concussion toward the end of the game against the Titans on Sunday. NBC Sports reports that head coach Bruce Arians confirmed that Fitzgerald is expected to play against the Seahawks, however.
Fitzgerald has been able to pass initial stages of the concussion protocol on Monday. He won’t be able to practice on Wednesday, and still has concussion protocol testing to pass in order to be fully cleared, but the Cardinals seem to think it’s promising.
The Cardinals have the Seahawks and the 49ers as their last two regular season games and must win both in order to make it to the postseason. Fitzgerald is obviously a key ingredient in the recipe to making that happen.
