The Louisville Cardinals aren’t going to play the jilted scorned girlfriend a second time around. Knowing that there new coach has a wandering eye, and a penchant for change, the Cardinals will hit Petrino and his next employer where it hurts.
Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports is reporting that Louisville placed a $10 million buyout clause in Petrino’s contract just in case the Florida job, or some other prestigious, and pretty big time program comes calling.
Bobby Petrino says he has a $10 million buyout. #Louisville

In comparison the Houston Texans just coughed up $6.5 million to get Bill O’Brien out of his Penn State contract. I can’t see any top university paying $10 million for Petrino.
