Shouldn’t there be a rule in the NBA that says your team can’t rock the nickname jerseys if they are truly bad or not deserving of the nicknames.
The Brooklyn Nets will wear their nickname player jerseys Jan. 10 against the Miami Heat at the Barclays Center. Fans can buy the nickname jerseys starting Wednesday at the team store at Barclays Center.
Nets jerseys will feature “D-Will” (Deron Williams), “Truth” (Paul Pierce) and “JJ” (Joe Johnson).
Pierce has been nothing like the truth, Williams hasn’t played well enough to earn D-Will, and JJ has been non-existent at times.
