Now believe it or not, this is the scenario I can see a couple of summers from now.
We are all aware of Kevin Durant’s impending free agency in the summer of 2016. Many pundits and experts have Durant eying L.A., or one of the two New York teams.
I personally see an even more obvious pull for KD.
The lore of playing for the home team. Durant is a native of the Maryland, Washington D.C. area. What better way to wind down an already Hall of Fame career than by trying to bring his hometown Wizards a championship.
John Wall reportedly agrees.
Wall told the Washington Post‘s Michael Lee that he’s been recruiting Durant to join the Wizards in 2016.
“I throw a little slick shots here and there.”
“Try something.”
Wall and Durant both share the same trainer, Rob McClanaghan, and worked out together a few times last summer in Los Angeles.
