To put it bluntly, that isn’t going to happen. The day he decided he would go public, is the day he was going to be forever known as the gay football player.
Maybe, one day in our society, no one will care, but right now he needs to come to grips with the fact that is how he is going to be seen by a lot of people. In the end if he can play, it will become more of a footnote, but for right now, he needs to deal with reality.
