Former Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams thinks the NFL’s policy on marijuana is a joke. He also believes the NFL couldn’t care less if players smoke weed or not but enforce their drug policies to maintain a positive image as a family friendly business.
This seems pretty accurate. What type of message would the NFL be sending if they removed the ban on marijuana. Of course it’s a PR issue. But with marijuana being legalized in two different states with more to surely follow, should the NFL remove it’s ban on the drug? It’s obvious players are going to smoke it if they want to so does it make sense to try to prohibit it at this point?
