The next time you see Kobe Bryant on the basketball court he’s going to have a young, lottery pick of a teammate, who’s expected to lead the Lakers into the future.
Though the draft may still be months away, Bryant has made it clear via Twitter, that he’s willing to mentor either Jabari Parker or Andrew Wiggins if they end up Lakers.
The 35-year-old Bryant signed a contract extension in November that will take him through the 2015-16 season.
Per the website Tankathon, Los Angeles currently has a 21.5 percent chance of landing a top-three pick and a 6.3 percent chance of drafting No. 1 overall. Parker, Wiggins and Kansas big man Joel Embiid are usually considered the three top choices among the 2014 class.
