Before I get to why Roby’s anger is misplaced here is what his agent had to say via Eleven Warriors.
This past weekend my client Bradley Roby was issued a citation in Columbus, Ohio for operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI). Bradley was sitting in his parked car in a parking lot when he was approached and questioned by an officer. He was fully cooperative and willingly submitted to field sobriety and breathalyzer tests. His BAC test registered a negligible .008 and after further testing at the police station, he was very quickly released on his own recognizance. There are no other charges, and we are confident that this matter will be resolved quickly and favorably for Bradley. However, as the matter is still pending, we cannot comment further at this time.
After saying they wouldn’t comment any further, Roby went to Twitter to decide to comment further.

I have lost any respect I had left for the media. I take ownership in my part of it. But you run a story at least put out all facts …

The media just reported what the police put out there, that he was arrested for OVI. Considering his own agent acknowledges that he was taken to the police station, this is a legal matter and charges are still pending, I don’t think the media did anything wrong. Here is why the cops said they brought Roby in.
When officers arrived, they were unable to get the driver’s attention. They opened the unlocked door and say they noticed the odor of alcohol.
Police say another officer was called to conduct a field sobriety test, which the driver failed.
Roby should be mad at the POLICE, not the media. If he wasn’t drunk, wasn’t doing anything illegal in the car, then why did they take him in?
That should be the question he should be asking. You are about to be in the NFL, you are going to need to understand how to deal with the media if you like it or not.
