Charlie Strong might have kept it a little too real with this one. There have been coaches a big programs who have turned schools around quickly and if you add in more of a win now attitude among fans, expectations can rise quickly. Texas Head Coach Charlie Strong tried his best to lower those expectations but it just didn’t come out right:

Now I understand what Strong was trying to say but he probably shouldn’t have been so blunt. From what I have seen from Texas this spring, they aren’t close to competing for a National Title anyway so it doesn’t matter if he said that too much.
