Former UNLV basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian remains hospitalized in a Las Vegas hospital after his relatives say he was having trouble breathing and feeling weak according to ESPN.
His son Danny Tarkanian also said the 83 year old was having trouble keeping his eyes open while he was being taken to the hospital on Wednesday night. He remains sedated while the doctors try to determine the reasoning behind his condition.
Tarkanian is best known for his tenure at UNLV where he led the team to four Final Four appearances and won it all in 1990. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame last year.
Thoughts and prayers with Tarkanian and his family. We at BSO wish him a speedy recovery.
