Lebron Won’t Rest in Final Regular Season Games

As the 82 game NBA season winds down, it is not uncommon to see superstars getting some rest before the playoffs start. This is especially the case for some of the top teams in the league, whose only remaining question mark is which seed they will be going into the playoffs.

You just never know who is going to play and who is going to sit in the final 10 or so games of the season.

If Lebron James is to be believed, we do know that the reigning MVP will be appearing in each one of his Miami Heat’s final eight games.

“I don’t plan on sitting out any of these (eight) games unless something happens. I’m going to be in the lineup.” James said. “If I feel I can get something, I’ve got to be out there for my teammates. It’s my obligation to be out there for them. I’m dealing with a few things but for me to sit out, I have to be dealing with a lot more.”

The Heat are currently in a race for home-court with the Indiana Pacers, holding a percentage point lead over their rivals as of today.

While much has been made of the Pacers push for home-court and the Miami’s focus on making sure its veterans are healthy over anything else, not many people thought Miami would have an opportunity at the top seed.

Now that James and co. have moved into the drivers seat, it seems Lebron and the Heat have no intentions of letting Indiana take back the spot they’ve held seemingly since the first game of the season.

With an Eastern Conference Finals rematch looming, home-court is definitely an advantage these teams would like to have. It will be interesting to see how the final eight games of the regular season play out for Lebron and the defending champion Heat.
