Michael Sam will possibly become the first openly gay player in the National Football League this weekend when the 2014 NFL Draft occurs. Of course networks like ESPN and the NFL Network have requested a chance to catch this moment in history by following Sam around on camera during the draft days. He respectfully declined.
Ex-Missouri Tiger, Michael Sam, has declined both ESPN/NFL Network’s efforts to get a camera w/ him during draft days. Not a surprise here.

I respect Sam for not trying to capitalize or get special treatment because of his sexuality. Instead he just wants to be treated like everybody else and wait in anticipation for his name to be called this weekend.
