Jerami Grant’s NBA journey was not typical, but more like a family rite of passage. He is the son of retired NBA vet, Harvey Grant & the nephew of 4-time NBA Champion, Horace Grant. But the Grant legacy didn’t end there; his eldest brother Jerai plays overseas, while his older brother Jerian is a senior at Notre Dame.
Grant’s journey truly came full-circle when the 6-8 Syracuse Orangeman was drafted in the 2nd round by the 76ers, the last team that his father played for before retiring. He posted a pic on Instagram celebrating his accomplishment, while donning a 76er jersey, with his feet firmly planted inside of his father’s shoes:
Grant still has pretty big shoes to fill, in order to even make the team. We’ll see if his game, like his pedigree, speaks for itself.
