Who knew U.S. soccer captain Clint Dempsey could spit bars?
Actually, he has before. The highest-paid MLS player released a track called “Don’t Tread” back in 2006. Now, Dempsey is taking his rapping talents even further.
Dempsey, who goes by the stage name “Deuce,” released a new single called “It’s Poppin,” featuring XO. It comes just a few days after he made a goal versus Ghana in 34 seconds at the World Cup.

The 31-year-old is planning to release a 13-track album called “The Redux” following the World Cup.
