The Utah Jazz have the 5th pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft, and as such have been working out plenty of the draft’s top prospects in hope of picking a future star. Unfortunately for the team, sometimes prospects just don’t want to work out for you.
Such is the case in the Jazz pursuit of Australian star Dante Exum. The 6-6 point guard has apparently declined multiple inquiries by Utah for a workout. According to Jazz radio guy David Locke, the reason for that is Trey Burke.

It’s not surprising that Exum wouldn’t want to go to a team that already seems to have their point guard of the future. It’s no secret the Aussie envisions himself as a point man in the league, and with Burke already in the fold the Jazz would likely try sliding Exum over to the two-guard.
Despite the lack of workouts, the Jazz apparently are still considering taking Exum if he is available at 5.

Luckily for Exum, he likely won’t have to worry about sliding to the Jazz. Most believe that the Australian will go no lower than 4th to the Orlando Magic.
