Yesterday after the USA beat Ghana, lots of people were filled with patriotic feelings and pride. There were a ton of tweets fired off and it seemed like for a moment everyone loved soccer. Delta decided to show its pride by tweeting out the screenshot you see below but there is one small problem. There are no giraffes in Ghana and they were just destroyed on social media because of the error.
Yes, there is some ignorance here on Delta’s part to assume that all of Africa has giraffes but if we are being honest, most of you didn’t know this either until you jumped on the outrage train. Delta of course issued an apology:
