There are few sporting events on Earth as widely anticipated as the World Cup. And there are even fewer things more widely anticipated than the newest release from Jordan Brand.
So why not combine the two and offer up a limited shoe release just in time for the World Cup?
That’s exactly what the company has done, announcing the Brazil pack inspired by the World Cup host country. Take a look at the Jordan press release and more photos of the pack below.
With the highly-anticipated 2014 FIFA World Cup set to kick off in Brazil, Jordan Brand is celebrating the global tournament with all-new colorways of the Jordan VI, Jordan CP3.VII AE, as well as a line of World Cup inspired apparel.
Dubbed the Brazil Pack, the country’s flag inspires the nine-piece collection, while graphically blended vivid colors highlight the Jordan Brand’s heritage. Grounded in black with hints of yellow and green, the assortment features premium materials such as leather and waxed cotton.
The full collection includes a sleeveless hoodie, varsity jacket, hybrid jersey, elephant print tank, elephant fade tee, basketball shorts as well as socks, snapback caps and a scarf. Highlights include the Varsity Jacket, which features Michael Jordan’s accolades and celebrates Brazil’s quest for their sixth championship. Additionally, the Hybrid Jersey nods to Nike’s football kit from last year by merging football and basketball silhouettes to creat an unexpected piece in the assortment.
Starting June 12, consumers can purchase the apparel assortment at select retail stores and Jordan.com. The Jordan Brazil Pack will drop June 21 for a suggested retail price of $500.
The shoes in the Brazil Pack are sure to be a hot item come June 21, I suggest you prepare yourself to be up nice and early for a shot at those.
