Julio Jones is back and he brought a boatload of bravado with him.
Jones and Roddy White are two of the NFL most dynamic wide receivers. Before the two men headed to Brazil to take in some of the World Cup, Jones told the media that he and White are the NFL’s top wide receiver duo.
“When you step on the field, you should feel that you’re the best, you and whoever your partner is,” Jones said. “I feel like me and Roddy, we’re the best when we step on the field. We take it as a challenge every year: We want to go out and show everybody we’re the best one-two in the league.”
Jones’ statement comes a few weeks after Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery made the same claim about himself and Brandon Marshall.
Last season, Jones played in just five games after suffering a season-ending fracture in his right foot while White was hobbled by hamstring and ankle injuries all year as well.
