Kicker Jeff Reed Looking For A NFL Comeback

Jeff Reed

This year seems to be the NFL’s busiest season with a hyped draft, new talent and veterans looking to make their comebacks. This time its not just WR or QBs but a kicker who feels he has something to add to a team.

Kicker Jeff Reed,35, who has spent 10 years in the NFL and feels like with an 82% completion of kicks, his foot isn’t ready for retirement.

“I looked into the CFL and the Arena League,” Reed said. “It’s just a lot of work for little pay, and it sounds kind of shallow, but when you’ve played for the most elite level of football and you think you can still do it, why wouldn’t you?”

“but I have no idea what people think. I mean, my stats and where I’ve kicked and how I’ve kicked for the most part speak for themselves. So, it’s just a matter of coming across the right path.”

Reed has been contacted by the Titans to come workout but has said that they were upfront about wanting a younger kicker despite wanting to see Reed’s skills. Despite his off the field news, Reed is ranked top 20 in field goal percentage.
