Either Phillies’ outfielder Marlon Byrd‘s grip is tighter than the Hulk’s or (more likely) the wood that went into producing his bat was flawed somehow.
Kind of weird to see the bat snap without contacting the ball isn’t it? Fortunately the fat end of the bat that went flying into the infield didn’t cause any injuries.
