Report: Raptors Looking To Trade For Grizzlies’ No. 22 Pick

Tayshaun-Prince-June-2014

The NBA Draft is tonight, and rumors will be in full swing now. With a couple of trades already have gone down, another rumor has popped up that surrounds the Memphis Grizzlies’ No. 22 pick.

The Toronto Raptors, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein, are in the hunt for the Grizzlies’ No. 22 overall pick in the draft. Toronto, however, has to take small forward Tayshaun Prince in order to make the deal happen.

Sources say the original deal involves Toronto trading John Salmons and No. 37 pick to Memphis for Prince and the No. 22 pick. The Raptors, if they get the trade done, would the have the No. 22 and 20 picks in the draft in the first round.

Reports say that the team is targeting Canadian guard Tyler Ennis of Syracuse, who is likely to fall in the range where the Raptors are picking.

Sources say Raptors GM Masai Ujiri is targeting power forward Clint Capela, who has drawn comparisons to Oklahoma City Thunder big man Serge Ibaka. The Raptors have the ability to draft both Ennis and Capela if they can land the No. 22 pick.

Be on the lookout for this potential deal to happen today.
