There is nothing official yet (technically even Mayweather vs. Maidana 2 isn’t official), but it appears to help with PPV buys that Broner vs. Matthysee will be added to the Mayweather undercard on September 13th.
Matthysse has already said it is a done deal on his Facebook page, but no contracts have been signed. They are running out of time for official announcements as September 13th is a little over two months away, so look for something official to be announced this week during the Canelo vs. Lara media blitz in Vegas.
As far as the fight itself, if it does take place it would go a long way in determining of Adrien Broner is just a flash in the pan or if he is the real deal.
