However, he’s recorded this message intended for his teammates & country, perhaps to lift their spirits at what could be a huge blow for the Brazilians:

My dream was also to play in a World Cup final but this time it didn’t work out.
But God willing, they’re going to win this, they’re going to be champions, and I’m going to be by their side, with them. And all us Brazilians are going to be celebrating.
Winning the World Cup obviously is no easy road for any of the four remaining teams, but losing such an important piece of the starting roster will only make reaching the mountaintop that much harder for host Brazil.
